We work with all web-based applications: internal business applications, mobile applications and websites.
Boulebar
Reporting platform, site and booking
A restaurant group in three countries whose numbers lived scattered across the systems each venue actually runs on — the till, the booking, the rota, the reviews. Nobody could say how trading was going without exporting from four places first.
PlatformSvelteKitPostgreSQL
Solution
A platform that pulls all of it in, normalises it into one database and hands it back as dashboards, top lists, budgets, staffing, a logbook and scheduled e-mail reports. Plus the group’s multi-country website and the booking widget that sits on it.
How we did it
SvelteKit and PostgreSQL on Cloud Run. Data arrives two ways: realtime webhooks from Ancon’s till, easyTable and Freshsales, and fifteen scheduled jobs that fetch what does not push — Planday, Google reviews, exchange rates. It leaves as the app, a booking API and PDF.
About the client
Boulebar runs pétanque venues with food and drink in Sweden, Denmark and the United Kingdom.
Economix is the system Sympati runs every day — scheduling, visits and follow-up for residential support and companion services. It worked, but it rested on a foundation nobody dared touch any more: an environment with no documentation, no rehearsed restore and no way to change anything without risk. The bar is high at the same time. This is care work, and the records are about individual people.
InfrastructureSvelteKitAnsible
Solution
We took the whole chain: the architecture, the operations, the development and the tests. A new foundation built from nothing, and Economix moving on to it a piece at a time with the business running throughout. No big-bang day, no feature freeze, no weekend where nobody dares go home.
How we did it
The entire environment is code in Ansible — servers, databases, proxy, monitoring — so it can be rebuilt rather than merely existing. Bun and Node at runtime, PostgreSQL underneath, Traefik in front, all of it in Docker. Point-in-time recovery with a restore we have actually rehearsed, a VPN in front of what should not be reachable from outside, Infisical for secrets and Entra ID for sign-in. Unit and integration tests run on every change, and staging and production deploy on merge.
About the client
Sympati provides residential support and companion services in Stockholm.
Tens of thousands of properties across Spain to search, and buyers who look for months. Whoever finds the right listing first gets it — but nobody re-runs the same search every day.
Web and appRuby on RailsReact Native
Solution
A portal where a search can be saved and watched. Every hour new listings are diffed against the saved searches, and anything matching goes out as a push notification to the app. Favourites, alerts and account are shared between web and mobile.
How we did it
The site is Ruby on Rails — we kept it rather than rewriting, and have held it current: it runs Rails 8 on Ruby 3.4 today. The app is React Native, published on Google Play, and is being upgraded to React Native 0.85 with the New Architecture. Listings arrive from Resales, and push goes through Firebase.
About the client
A personal estate agent on the Costa del Sol with over thirteen years of experience and hundreds of homes sold.
A 360-survey system for employee evaluation. Migrating from an old system to a new one where the old data set is still supported and meets the needs for new functionality.
Web appReactNext.js
Solution
A web-based responsive interface for both admin and end users, using time-efficient technology.
How we did it
Administration, API and survey client as separate parts. A React and Next.js front-end against a classic JSON API.
About the client
Edward Lynx specialises in action-based learning and transformative leadership.
Most of what we build is internal and under NDA. We can walk you through architecture, decisions and what we would do differently — usually on a call rather than in a PDF.
